Transcendent ... compelling. Japanese women have many ways of expressing wonder by subtle variations in the way the word, "Ahhh" is pronounced. For example, one says "Ahhh" differently upon viewing a beautiful sunset than the way it might be said upon seeing a waterfall, a lovely painting, gentle rain, ducklings or a dragonfly. This poem encompasses myriad Ahhhs... |
