A Mothers Contentment |

The blackness of the nighttime sky brings about the most heavenly sighs, when all are snuggled in their beds and across the sky stars are spread. The moon is low, scattering it’s light, sharing it’s beauty with the night. A mother’s contentment is made plain for here is the peace she hopes to attain. To have her sweet babies safe and well causes her heart, with love, to swell. She spends her days working so hard, always alert and always on guard. But in the night she finds her repose, from the life through which she rows. And so she casts her eyes above from whence He sends His great love. |

Hi paulallady A beautiful tribute to motherness...I remember though, when my children were small, even at night my ears and eyes were on guard. |

We never lose those motherly feelings ~ even when our children become adults. I always enjoyed the feeling at the end of the day when they were all tucked safely in bed and thanking God for His blessings ~ and help! Lovely poem! ~ Lovely you! EA |
