back seat full of look back shoes
all dusty now it seems
we haven't worn them for a summer

but I bet they still would fit
our bare foot hurry-ups
if we helped each other a little

with the fitting them on and together
or between each other
where ever comfortable was fuzzy

and I know our hands would notice too
how fingers like to play
in back yards under secret sheds

and eventually the whole neighborhood
of our recollections would gather
on the porch side of maybe even

across from the gypsy gin occasion

This has such beauty tinged with just the right amount of melancholy added to it.  Mmm, you do stir up such a delightful concoction flavored with just enough of all the right stuff DarkMasterfulOne..  Much enjoyed these words this morning  (oh yeah, that's every morning tho   )

No more hangin' on to the past
No more filling up my tomorrows
With yesterday's sorrows
No more lookin' over my shoulder {T.Tritt}

Dark Stranger,

Somehow this seems to run all together for me.  I can drag no meaning out of it.

Hi DS

"on the porch side of maybe even"  I think I have left some loafers there and one flip flop.  Hi!

With summer comes the yearnings of yesteryears... of being young, mischievious, spontaneous, carefree... loved where this poem took me! much enjoyed!

For some reason, I feel as if I had
been led to a dance...

and smiling all the way.

I guess I am a little too young to remember gypsy gin, but I do remember the secret sheds and curious fingers!!   Take care my Daaark Stranger, JulieAnn
