A friend, A foe, who do I turn to? Can you tell me how to get out of this dark room I laugh, I love , I enjoy life Why have I been given this dark room I live in.. My innocence stripped from me.. Left alone to deal with it.. Couldn't turn to you... You wouldn't believe.. Not knowing better you left me on that hill Cause you thought it was my cure A dark room it was where a possible cure existed.. Yet the cure came with a lonely price.. Memories that haunt my every day Every breath I took was precious Every day I woke up was a blessing But that all came with a price... How do I forget? Can it be forgotten? As much as I love and laugh As much as I enjoy life As much as I am thankful for every breath I take I sometimes find myself as a kid left alone on that hill ** this Poem is dedicated to a long time friend, who in youth suffered but prevailed as an adult...
