   Gull Harbor

Penitent sunset

fine-sculpted rocks
bathed in crimson
and amethyst

sea birds
shadow-dancing
along the shore

metaphysical moon
rising

footprints fading
with the gentle tide...

a small boat
drifts away

I live near the shoreline and your poem was like a painting in words of that beach scene.

paullallady - and for all of us who wish we were at the shoreline, a little visual vacation and a reminder of the eternal qualities of the sea, the moon, and the horizon. Fine minimalism!
