My Flying Carpet

My flying carpet will not fly
Nor do I know the reason why
I’ve cared for it the best I could
I thought for sure it always would

The magic stays within my mind
I’ve lost somehow its subtle bind
The touch has left my egos know
It is a devastating blow

Perhaps it just ran out of gas
Or lost its mystic cosmic mass
Perhaps my mind has sprung a leak
Perhaps the bubble grew too weak

It’s flown me since my childhood time
Even through my youthful prime
Perhaps it is a sign of age
Is there a time of disengage?

So here I sit with saddened heart
Just wishing that my rug will start

Perhaps, perhaps, thank you.

I laughed so loud, my dear sir.
Because it is still chained...chained to the past, the old memory. Is the future you want to fly, not the past. don't be offended, sir. I am still laughing.

have a very good night, dear Sir Tabin.

a beautiful poem

Enjoyed very much. As always! If you get your flying carpet to start, fly my way and come see me.

I think if we clean the heads, change the plugs and do an oil change -- we can get more miles out of it.  It's sometimes just a matter of a major overhaul.  Do I sound like I know what I am talking about?

Or maybe it just needs a creative break?

A good vacuuming?  A change of flight plans?

One thing I do know for sure, Wonderful Sir ...

It DOES need you.

Well, I'll tell you what, Sy ... it seems to be working just fine from that wonderful read. But ... should you ever need a jump start, a tow, or a push to get that carpet flying, all you have to do is holler.

Thanks for my toe-tapping morning read.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

Seymour, this was a delightful trip, you
simply loaned your carpet to US! It'll
pick you up again when you're least
expecting it.  I'm sure of it.

I think it just may be the creative break.
