Looking up on the midnight sky, sometimes I sit and wonder why, Why do the stars, they always shine? Yet never in a straight line. Upon that hill on summers night while the moon and stars give off their light Dancing and twinkling up on high, sometimes I stop and wonder why, Why do the stars in their glory be wander along on the milky sea? Peacfully laying where green grass does grow, wondering what the sky might know. With the air so calm and clear, and the moonlight coming near, I have to stop and wonder why, This night is like a lullaby. Whispering softly in my ear, sleep beconing me to come near, stars twinkling in night so deep, Finally put me to sleep. [This message has been edited by MegMeg (06-12-2007 12:44 PM).] |
