Evil came into my life today slipping, sliding and slithering my way. Its’ scales were sharp and each held a lie, these were its’ weapons to hurt me by. The eyes were what mesmerized me, their darkness held pain and sorrow, you see. Locking on me, its’ gaze never swayed, for this was the way that evil played. My feet were frozen and locked in place, time seemed to stop, at least in this case. Closer and closer this evil came, I stood there and let it, all the same. Now just when it came right up to me, I lashed out and I kicked him you see. I was as shocked as he must have been, that I had the strength when needed then. He landed in water right on his back, his belly was soft, for scales it lacked. Seeing that yellow belly lay so still, made me ask myself if I had the will. Did I have the will to just let him die? Standing there with a tear in my eye, I saw the difference between him and I. His heart didn’t hold any love you see. How could I hate for what it never knew? That’s when I saw what I had to do. I reached in the water and gave a tip, onto the ground he went with a flip. Evil crawled by without even a glance, for it knew then, it didn’t stand a chance, it came upon what it couldn’t understand, and love we all know, wins in the end. |
