Elias son, you've lost your way, You wander in the night, Far beyond the pale of man, Beyond bright city's light. Out amid God's creatures wild, Roaming here to there, You travel not to site specific, You end up who knows where? But yet each morn at dawn's first light, You lay upon your bed, How I wonder my dear son, What thoughts course through your head? Father dear, why do you weep? In dark of night while others sleep? Do not you know tho' I am gone, I shall return at come of dawn? There is no cause for you to fear, For to your heart I'm always near, Be it that I walk alone, Be it that, my sin's atone. I feel the silence of the night, As I walk in moon's soft light, I fear not of creature's bite, For father dear, I am the night. |

This is beautiful. I have been reading the first archive and became a fan of your work -- wrote a response asking if you were still around .. i am thrilled to see that you are. I'll be going back to continue my reads and will be looking for your name. Alison |
