In a state of disrepair...

I thought of this and now,
All things being equal,
There's nothing left but to say it...

While critics rave
Time continues unabated.
The world burning in an hourglass
seas and skies aflame
in relativity quite tame.

Though in essence it is true
you didn't have to read it
There is another way to put it:

Poetry does nothing except kill poets.

Hangovers are nature's way of preparing us for liver failure.

can't agree with you more.
"Poetry does nothing except kill poets."

the art form of the poetry asks too much, too much. like a hungry beast, constantly demands  more, more , more, and better.

A curious write. Poetry affects everyone ~ both the writers and readers of it, in very personal ways.

If poetry kills the poet, PiP would make one heckuvva big Dead Poets Society! lol
