Wish I didn't love you
wish you didn't have the hold on me
which gives me no release,
from your heart
which now appears to beat inside of me
and I feel tangled up
and want to break free
but I can't see a way
and most of all
everytime I look into your eyes
I know that I cannot
ever leave
As I can see your dependency
and the love you have for me
but cant you see the destruction
that we form
and the hurt that we cause?
This is my conflict
the turmoil that I endure
as I sit
and chase the shadows
of our past.

Nice writing...conflict is also present when we have no one to love...then our life is wrapped up in trying to find someone to share our love with...when right choices are made, the consequences are bearable...James
