A bird
On the chimney
Smokes the scent of breakfast
In  the winter morning’s icy rain
He slowly pulled out his precious quill
Dipping in the misty wet air
On sheet of  messy green
“May I come in?”
A bird.”

there are times when even a bird needs a
little comfort...and a bit to eat on a cold
and wintry day.  I thought this was a very
cute poem...thank you....

Ohhh!  I love this one even more.  I know what your answer to the bird was, of course.

What a joy it is to watch the birds in springtime!  They do seem to be making a statement.  Lovely  poem!
