There is a dream inside a dream, A silence within a scream. I'm wide awake the more I sleep, The Earth starts to fumble and creep. I saw Heaven in your eyes, When I'm God everybody dies. Everything I show you is a piece of my death, Down to the very last cold breath. Lead the rats through the streets, Dance like marionettes swaying to the beats. I saw Heaven in your eyes, When I'm God everybody dies. There is a hope inside a hate, A salvation tied into one's fate. The Symphony of Destruction plays it's tunes, Leaving a path of decaying dunes. I saw Heaven in your eyes, When I'm God everybody dies. You take a mortal man and put him in control, Watch him become a God as the wheels roll. I saw Heave in your EYES, WHEN I'M GOD EVERYBODY DIES! When I'm God in peace all shall rest, And on plays the Symphony... you can feel my ANGER you can feel my pain you can see my TORMENT driving me insane |

wow, this is good poem. a wonderful one with deep meaning. after the bite, every one died. but you are right, if the dead one became God, then still every would die too. very good one. |

I especially LOVE the ‘entry lines’ of this powerful ‘write’: “There is a dream inside a dream, A silence within a scream(!)”; as to: “The Earth starts to fumble and creep.” [as a geologist, I can’t attest to a ‘fumbling and creeping Earth’?!...however, I would argue that humans have, most certainly, been ‘fumbling and creeping’ (and playing their ‘symphony of Destruction’) for millenia!] Applause on this ‘write’! |

Hot Flakes, there must have been fire in your fingers as you keyed this earth-shaking poem! Wow! There is so much power and force in all your poetry. I especially appreciated your opening stanza ~ "There is a dream inside a dream, A silence within a scream. I'm wide awake the more I sleep, The Earth starts to fumble and creep." Great writing! ![]() EA |
