A picnic for two Beneath the summer leaves There’s wine and cheese Whose names We’ve just begun to learn Fresh rye bread From a bakery just down the road All the sparrows Seem to have gotten the word There’s nothing for her He wouldn’t do Sharing the food With such persistent Little tattletales If only They’ll keep that secret To themselves . |
