While Moon Light While moon light spread a silver spill And wind chimes rang a sprightly drill The wake that woke my comatose Dispelled my dream of grandiose Took me from a suns September To a dreary cold December With frost upon the window pain Where snow outside for days had lain I watched a hazy moon ignite While icy glass defused the light I heard the rakish clang of chime That set a funky beat of time I was annoyed my lost surcease Whatever had disturbed my peace? I laid me down my bed of ken To catch my grandiose again But all I caught were shards of thought For I had lost the dreams passport |

Sey, I have so many nights where I awaken and then end up lying awake thinking the rest of the night. You wrote this so well. Currently, the sun is shining, but its snowing here, so go figure. Nice writing, very well done sir Sey. |

Good morning, Sir Sonneteer! Might I say that this poem, m'dear, is a bit of 'sonnetic' perfection and is going straight to my 'Sigh' File! Gosh, I do so know what you mean about waking up from a "grandiose" dream and not being able to recapture it! I continue to be impressed, for what that's worth! This poem was expertly scribed, Sir Sigh! Loved your descriptive imagery! Loves 'n hugs 'n angel kisses, EA |

Awwww, I hope you find that dreams passport again. For those dreams are good to have. Because sometimes, that is all that keeps us alive. |

Doesn't that just tick you off? I have these dreams I can't mention in here, an just when I get to a good part, the stupid puppy will awaken me licking my eye - and I can't even get mad 'cause she's so darn cute! |

Were I to be at one with you, you'd know me, without a clue; for I would be your dream's transport, and you'd be there, my laughing sport. 'Tis in these nights where dreams awake, and I am lost, for goodness' sake, for between the dream and some twilight, I believe I am awake all night. Yet, did I dream, or see image shimmer was it mirror, or just a glimmer? Did some shadow cross my path's way Or did you visit, to simply say.... Welcome, Sunshine, so glad you're here, Now come and read my poems, dear. Thank you, m'friend, m'poet, for the inspire. I don't think I've smiled this wide all day! |

When in your dreams at dead of night there's nought should rouse the inner sight so take a chime of hammer out and scatter silence all about! A moment lost cannot be gained when woken from the sweet refrain where limbs are young and nothing hurts and energy is not in spurts. The sound of chime throughout the day can never be enough to pay for journeys on an ethereal plain, with passport to your youth again! |

ivor, Your write was a delight and I thank you much. Unfortunatly this dream was not of youthful prime but scraped the edge of older time. |

Seymour, As you have probably gathered by now, I love your poetry, it is, however, infectious and I cannot get your 'phrase of turn' out of my head! Hope you do not mind the couple of replies I have made 'sampling' your catchphrases. I promise not to do it in future to the extent that it actually becomes a pathetic imitation of a master of his craft. Imitation of course is the highest form of flattery.... thanks for humouring me thus far.... Have Fun, Ivor |
