Keep this moment

She grasps for the dreams
that will keep her away from reality.
The safety net that pulls her into the safe cacoon
of a life that doesn't have to be lived just yet.
She likes to stand still
take it all in
and revel
in the comfort that it provides her aching heart.
It's safe
it's tranquil
it feels like home.
But she knows she cant stay there forever.

A new journey begins,
those tentative steps
that pounding heart
those feelings of dread
which are pushing her out
towards a future unknown.
