.

every man
should have one of those
feral as she is

in some hidden garden
with a water fountain
in the background
murmuring sweet nothings
in her ear

and should they say
how dare he go astray
that stalwart Diogenes
being so satyr
at the end

oh I suspect
he’d simply smile
and revel in his sin

Here is the TRUETH story

Long long time later, one day, there is a class on classic poems.

student 349: why the titles of the poems  by John Pawlik are bit different from others?

Student 912: there must be something hidden there.

Teacher/I: I am glad that you all noticed that. I have to say that I hated then as I hate it now. In my time,  we have a dame thing called computer and a  program called Wikipedia. I have to Wiki his title every time I read his poem...do not laugh at me. Unlike Now, you have eMan to answer all your questions. But I finally figured out that his  title was the book and his poem was the book jacket. Do please remember this, "you can't judge a book by its cover".

"so we write to illuminate ourselves,
not to others, but to and beyond
who we think we are"

Dear John, it is too early an explanation because the students Numbers and Teacher/I are no where to find yet.

enjoyed your "fun" poem and as good as before.

May you have a wonderful night, Sir Pawlik
