THE WALK With the steadiness of a heartbeat the gentle waves lapped against the shore. Feeling cool against the summer heat, giving hope of relief, nothing more. The delicate sand held our footprints; a temporary sign that we exist. The late sunset held a rosy tint, as over the water rolled a mist. From all of this beauty came a song, flowing within us played on heartstrings. Feelings like these could never be wrong, relishing the comfort that they bring. In that moment we truly were one. A love as glorious as the sun. |

For an unabashed ‘incurable Romantic’ like me, this ‘write’ is most grand-fine (quintessential) “Romanticism”! Superb ‘imagery’… I especially LOVED: “The delicate sand held our footprints; a temporary sign that we exist. The late sunset held a rosy tint, as over the water rolled a mist.” MUCH long-sustained applause!! |
