The inspiration for this poem is found at the following link /pip/Forum103/HTML/002810.html

Ruth, I am in awe of your poem and had to try my hand at this style.

Dancing Nights

Quiet inspires me to write
I compose poems in the night
Flirting and dancing Northern Lights
within my sights.  Within my sights.

Bright colors blaze across black sky
Tantalizing as they drift by
Churning, burning in knots they tie
they fly so high.  They fly so high.

Ticking clock reminds me to sleep
Nagging 'bout the hours I keep
Price of nocturnal writing steep
i should count sheep.  I should count sheep.

But, I embrace the peace of night
All sensibility takes flight
As I gaze at Aurora bright
my world set right.  My world set right

Sleep calls my name most bossily
Lying in bed is where I'll be
Magical lights are all I see
they enfold me.  They enfold me

I read these words and so adore
That through each verse, I wanted more
And as I read, the treat was mine
The words so fine, the words so fine

Much enjoyed my friend, thanks for the sharing of a new style today.

Rick
