And the Touch of A Mother's Hand

As the years go by and the memories fade
still there in the corner of the mind is laid
the foundation of all, the making of each
the touch of her hand, always in reach...

My mother was there, is still there right now
to answer the need, the whys and the how
when problems arise and the feelings are low.
There I can feel it, the touch of her know.

It's never too late to return her my touch
with words in a poem to show her how much
she has meant in my life, at a distance or near
for the warmth of a memory, wiping away at each tear.

Maureen

You said this so well.  I love your tribute to your Mother and feel your love for her.  I am blessed to have mine in my life this year -- we went through hell together but she made it for one more Mother's day.  And for many more in our future.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem.

Little Mo, Oh my word this is soooo good. I can’t tell you how magical your writing is. Just know this that when I slip in to PiP’s I always seek out your writing. Now this is exceptional writing, you never fail to touch the hidden depths of me. Delicious writing, you have a huge talent, and I’m always impressed whenever I read you

I've missed you Marsha and hope your life is just as happy and healthy as it was the last time you popped in.

I so appreciate hearing from my friends since I seem to be kept a bit busier   teaching this year...one month to go and  then I have a break...time to visit my Mother and let her know how much I have appreciated her and that without her support(even though long distance)I don't believe I could have survived these last few years.

Thanking each of you again,
Maureen
