Love Spirals Downwards Until It Is Naught I caught a whiff of emptiness It tore my heart right back Sold to her upon a whim Too many times, lost track I am the lonely one inside Lacking judgement or pride She was the earth and I the moon Erratic orbits in my head I live in dream, with my eyes closed Not watching where I tread Too blind to see when things were wrong A torch I carried far too long Twist a line around the sun Surprised when I am burned Falling star, not risen far Deserve the fate that I have earned An empty love I can’t defend But far too weak to meet the end. Hello, Andrew. Your title "Love Spirals Downwards Until It Is Naught" is an apt title indeed. A romantic, yet sadly sweet, penning. EA |

upon viewing the title I thought, trust is broken, love is contaminated...but upon reading the poem, there is so so much more to derive....bittersweet and open emotions, written very well... |
