(i don't no why all my poems are sad lately, so sorry, im actually a pretty silly person.)

The nightmare has claws,
It drifts throughout the town
Leaving people gasping for air,
As it brushes past their feet.

It flies in my window with demon like grace
And fills my cells with hammering fury.

You embrace her when you’re cold,
Fill yourself with air
And a hardness falls over the east.

Red streams down her face,
Because all that is clear
Turns to red in the glow
Of the harsh vermilion light.

I twist in my sleep.
I dream of a guard rail,
Of two hands embraced,
Of the shrieking silence of the sweep.

I see the harsh torrent of bodies knotted,
Unable to get free,
Grasping for a control that is not within reach,
Twisting around the pleasure
Of the sick adultery they seek.
Filling their spaces with air and heat.

The falcon begins to blur.
I clench my teeth and the aching in my jaw
Works through my cheeks
As they scrap together vehemently.

From somewhere deep
I push the talons through my skin,
In a somnolent beat.
And I feel the monster leave.

But not without fulfilling its purpose,
And scooping out a ball of my flesh
For the many long nights of a carrion feast.

sometimes I love to write dark poetry, doesn't mean I'm sad, or feel any way other then wanting to dabble in words...and by the way, sad is part of life, and you write it so visually, very well done!

by the way, your allowed to be sad, it is a human emotion, to perhaps self search, or just simply allow it its time...
