Bewildered sunlight
teasing broken hearts awake
with sad, sleepy thoughts
slipping dream-enchanted gates;
remembering Timeless Love!

Excellent write, thank you, and I plan to check out the challenge link. Neat trick to personify the environment ("bewildered", etc.) to get the world flowing one's way for a bit.

I will say that as to your sig, if vile enough poisons are used upon a victim then his or her dreams can be rather turned to nightmares, especially when nearing the waking state. I unfortunately know this firsthand.
