youth & school
like two
emerging voices
handed down
a nanny's fairy tail
it is rumored
night is deep rooted
like gossip
scattered
to
the
winds
but night
is a coffee shop
of
bewildering sunlight
powerless to resist

then
a
few
tears
spill over
         off spring
                    of fat
                           gleaming sun
less shy
with
her own camera crew
of meddlers
playing
music
in the night
and
so
youth
jumps
out a wider window
hatching inner
flesh of sight
and
the school
the school
sometimes seems
like an ambush
for the
gambler's choice
of substance in
a reading room
imagining grief
trembling
at the thought of
fate
licking
her lips
