ya see
thing is
yellow mornings
stride down by the pier
untamed inspirations
volcanics
much love in
a homesick mind
remeniscent of
long leagues
between
philadelphia and eleuthera
looking stright
& deeply
into her eyes

ahhh
but for white
power in achievements
all those little ones
dripping
from a virgin's breath
like sullen spirits
alien
by virtue
of sweet heart sounds
from all those years
that seam white cloaked
much faster now
she cannot find
colossal expressions
equipted with
intellectual keenness
describing
those years
of passion
of afternoon swells
in that place
by herself
that
lead to a stranger
then fiction kisses

Oh God
he made his way to her
inexplicable ocean
like breath
whirls the instant
then disappears
abruptly
resolution
becomes a
rim of sea
gleaming
fast lanes
to moonlight
leaving her
trembling
bittersweet

forgotten as if she
never took one breath

she ne'r forgets
the scent
of his soul
radient
in eyes of waves
wanting
more
   and more

surging horizons
boaring darkness
immeasurably
his silver fires
deeper glow
within some memory
still growing
like lacy light
upon throbbing
alabaster paths
of deep-breasted
suggestion
frozen in time
for
the
unbelievers

she writes
crystal notes
brain dumps
ghostly amethyst
regarding the
listening
which stirs
just to gleam
sounds of earth
like mother-of-pearl
intensly alive
vibrant
like a magic lantern
leaving that pampering
silence deep within
a fisher of souls
blotting out
all sheerst chance

making it
a place where she goes
just to hear flutes
waving like
the twenty thousand
inlets
she loves
so sorely

it is
where
twinklings go
far distances
remote antiquity
shores
no longer frown
monolithic
anchient platforms
peer out
from behind
conversations
of
returned gestures
to the moon

archaic men
who lean over
gathering strength
from far away waves
rolling somewhere

rock ledge charms
that carries sounds
of Eleuthera
beckon quicker
notes...
then quicker still
of jubilance
throughout
the
night

you've felt it
haven't you?
looking
over
your shoulder
like bells
of crystal
pyramids
moving
rhythmically
little
groups
of
light

you see
it's not about
the physical island...really
but
the enormous
rapture inside...

from experiencing
the intimacy of that
island
of him
half-fascinating
half-wonderment
total fulfillment
thoughtful
pillars that
listened carefully
to
the
entrance
of thick
mangroves
the touch of
quiet warmth
smooth surfaced
curving places
of promise
touching spots
of motion
like what comes
within the
night fires
within her
leaping
through desire
like a mistress
of eastern skies
red sunsets
and marmalade
oceans of love

and the gift is in
the loving so much
even though he didn't
look back once...
it doesn't matter

you see

the she of her
is me
and I'm blessed for knowing
the feeling of that extemely
magnificant island and ocean
I own it now...it has become
me

Good morning, Lee!

"she writes

regarding the
listening
which stirs
just to gleam
sounds of earth
like mother-of-pearl
intensly alive"

~ "Intensely alive" as is your writing! A 'gem' of a poem!

"you see

the she of her
is me
and I'm blessed for knowing
the feeling of that extemely
magnificant island and ocean
I own it now...it has become
me"

~ Yes, Dear Poetess, I DO see.

I've seen the pictures!  Beautiful!
And I do agree, it has become you.

astounding!

I cannot pick favorite lines
but if I could
they might be

"she ne'r forgets
the scent
of his soul"

grabs at me
ya know?

So many great images, including this:

of eastern skies
red sunsets
and marmalade
oceans of love"

What mesmerizing beauty you've written!!! I could drown in these lines... for I wouldn't miss oxygen, breathing them in... Excellent!!
