Freedom Lost By Paul Wilson Half past midnight darkness paints the way from here to there (you know of where I speak) behind locked doors Coldness of shadows touch the inner you (burning) as you stare at the emptiness left by today Hurry before the keeper collects his toll once again fade into the shadows obscure to the world (as most know it) Speak not (our mind) least we become labeled (trouble makers) scorned by most reform and conform freedom of speach (a passing memory) The young must never know of books and papers we are told as March winds suppress our will Half past midnight darkness paints the way from here to there (you know of where I speak) behind locked doors To teach our children of the past and the freedom we once had ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

If the governments of the world continue on their way our freedom will be just a memory of a memory that belongs to another day. |
