Capers In After Dinner Mint The cloth that patterned me woman, persists Soft and sturdy, glossed in silken lilac mists With intrigue in my eyes, I dream Making Tarzan art a delight to the senses Like this, to love him in his hard working nature Picturing his face lit in naughty nomenclature Rustling his tee shirt, scents the air I inhale Meeting him at the threshold of return So much so, that I find more courage to bend Thinking thoughts that would fetch him more time to attend The music of his laughter, deep as velvet midnight Unhitching my straight shoulders in welcome Intuitive capers deem the map we pursue Distracting his focus, nibbled neck purrs renew Disarming him in after dinner mint whispers While I learn to lean a little farther on his side When we cling, the walls should moan Such frosting dessert shared on shiver two-tone Leaning forward to listen, as we plan paradise Nervous gestures grow glisten as the rain pats Building heartedly home that we want it to be Through the fabric of time, velvet feelings set free In a recipe scant shall the sweet moments dawn May I say, sir…that whipped cream you wear, so good on~ Kkh 4/12/07 |

In particular I really liked: “silken lilac mists” ; “....laughter, deep as velvet midnight” “....after dinner mint whispers” “Through the fabric of time, velvet feelings set free” |

Ah, Kathleen, forgive me, dear, we have a bakery/restaurant/meeting place/ poets bar here in our town called Capers... and a lot of their foodstuffs [not bakery] deals with the use of capers... so I had to keep dividing my mind between capers...and ...capers... it was a wonderful diversion! |
