. One must pretend I imagine At these sort of things To be enthralled With its snacks and drinks The occasional vatic quote From some book that no one else Except for us now would have read Yet I think it true Had I encountered any of you With these very same poems By my hand When you were young And then at least if not in fact Thought yourself beauty’s preeminent You still would have favored Another man . |

A quiet melancholy, that even among those who should be your own you find yourself disconnected. I've only been to one poetry meeting, and the sharp excitement of being among other people who loved words overspread the whole thing with a holy light to me. I'm pathetic, I guess. But anyway, I wish you had been there. I don't think I would have preferred another man. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

John, this is not your poem. You are a very kind person so you would not slap you readers right on the face and cut your female readers' heart like you cut your own pizza. Good sentences but bad poem.Bad!!!! |

. Thank you all And Drauntz, immediately stop assuming whatever I write affords some insight as to who I am. I am nobody and glad for it. As to this stuff, if the moment struck I could write as Hitler. I am though it's over still a lone diver which means nothing to no one. Thanks again, John PS this not about any actual meeting poetry or otherwise. Apart from work and forays for groceries I now hardly go outside. However in my defence I have one fantastic art and book filled apartment with a big window on the world. Somehow I knew this puppy would bring newpapers rolled up for its behind. . |

I thought that you would have let my comment pass because you write "you will what you will." a very good poem truly but the tune is so low. too low. |

first of all John, you aren't a nobody even if you feel that way... and secondly PS this not about any actual meeting poetry or otherwise. Apart from work and forays for groceries I now hardly go outside. However in my defence I have one fantastic art and book filled apartment with a big window on the world. I never thought you meant about a real meeting...I, just as Nan, wanted to state that we had met and the 12 or so of us really enjoyed seeing where the words actually came from. And I, too, know what it is like to not venture out as I stayed inside for a complete year before I went to that meeting...not working, nor shopping, nor paying bills or anything else that would be normal unless I was dragged out by friends. My reasoning was phobic though, through embarassment and abandonment, which somehow I am managing to overcome (even if not in its entirety yet...still progressing~~) I do not profess to understand you or your words...just respond when I can, if they touch me in some way. Thank you for your words... M |

you said "You will what you will". "As to this stuff, if the moment Struck I could write as Hitler."..... I will read what Hitler wrote if it was about something serious. Hitler, like all other human being, wanted his enemy disappearing from the earth. But whom he killed was not some one hurt him before. They were law-obeying citizens. The same type of killing still happens today and through out entire human history. And nobody can justify a killing of innocence though. If what Hitler did to you is to make you to be like him then I have to say that this is his best work. Here, your poem slaps your reader friends, your friends(!!!!) Who love to read your poems, respect your talent and hope to have your honest comment. with repsect |
