across fields of grass gray blade rides searching for face of pale longing for soft green eyes that will meet his gallop of his steed sends poetry to place he craves his sweet lady’s side he foresees play of white dove hands fluttering smoothing skirts touching breathless bosom a blush of cheek then skirt lifted slightly soft glow of purple at ankle he dreams alighting kneeling hooves pounding past to beat of heart laying his hand upon sheathed rapier gripping hilt tightly as white dove hands slip purple ‘round his arm sweet breath whispers God speed gentle sir |
