sitting here on the edge of almost
to forget for just a moment
the distance
and to never mind
the time
to let my mind blur
what is between
just long enough
to allow my whole heart
to miss you

and to keep that moment
all to myself

Susan, the poem met the picture perfectly. Those lost moments are wonderful, and too far inbetween of reality and the daily bite.

Yes, this needs another push up to the top! The poem certainly doesn't sit on the "edge of almost" - it dives right in to the depths where many of us keep the missing. Excellent write!

love your writing. I hate talking about growth, because there's the implication that one wasn't good in the "beginning," but the way your words breathe now in comparison to long ago is a world of growth and i have a world of appreciation.
