Stretching Room Only Feeling left out, not knowing how to fit in. A closet filled with shoes, mostly old with a memory of once worn. And even they are a bit too tight, like this life, with little room to stretch. Matching up after years of shelving, each should have been tossed away like the worn out partnership... Partnership, because to say the other word belittles its true meaning. It was the partnership that was stolen (from under my feet) leaving me feeling left out, unfit for those shoes that had so much wear left in them. Days come and go. I smile despite, leaving others to believe I am more than I am, wearing shoes that masquerade, allowing me to step unknowingly into each tomorrow until I find the place where I fit in. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

MsWynter~ 'I am more than I am, wearing shoes that masquerade, allowing me to step unknowingly into each tomorrow until I find the place where I fit in.' You fit ... oh yes you do ~~~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

"I am more than I am, wearing shoes that masquerade, allowing me to step unknowingly into each tomorrow" You are taking one step at a time with a "smile" which is always the right path to follow, especially when the "smile" is as pretty and bright as yours. "Matching up after years of shelving," <----great line here! And I agree with Marge ... "You fit ... oh yes you do ~~~" always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same |

You weaved your thoughts very efficaciously around your shoes! And you fit perfectly well into the Now! Love and hugs. Margherita |

I think we should both invest in a good pair of walking shoes. Well done, mo. You took the challenge and made it YOURS. |

I am positive that Serenity is right! Get yourself some really interesting "un-seasonal" shoes, make a statement, and dance in the rain! I have known this cupboard, but glad I got myself some shoes that speak for themselves to bring up conversation. Nicely done for the challenge Maureen. |

I know just how you feel. I feel the same way. I am always searching, it seems, trying to find a place where I fit in (belong). Seems like I never will find that place. |

I am more than I am, wearing shoes that masquerade, allowing me to step unknowingly into each tomorrow until I find the place where I fit in. I have been thinking about this shoe challenge that is going on here....I like this one...my Mom just sent me a pair of shoes they kind of feel weird on my feet and this part of the poem reminded me of them. ~~~kingsangel~~~ |

I can relate, and I like the way you wrote it better than I could, with my loss of words these days |

Since so many fine 'P.I.P.' poets have already posted fine comments and compliments pursuant to this 'write' (and specifically the following passage): "Days come and go. I smile despite, leaving others to believe I am more than I am, wearing shoes that masquerade, allowing me to step unknowingly into each tomorrow until I find the place where I fit in." ....I will just add the descriptor: Excellent! [and mention that the above passage wafts along the 'immortal plane' (it triggers 'everyperson'-dejavu memories and feelings)] |

Recently I read somewhere, that if you are indeed ready for a new relationship you will clean out your closet...making a place for things new...James |

An interesting 'soleful' journey you've shared, lady M. So many shoes, so many different paths on which to stroll! |
