Forest Song (Manmade Temples only hide the stars) Boundless 'cathedral' beyond all space and time with no rumblings of impotent 'gods,' the forest sings in staggering cold-bright silence of snow and winter lightning illuminating the dark and windless spaces of a frozen heart where life once burned in every moment of your love. |

in staggering cold-bright <---cold-bright, I like this use! silence of snow and winter lightning illuminating the dark A chilling saga of love lost and very "illumanating." Good read. always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same |

nice to read you again Bruce...hope all is well. love the ending...where life once burned in every moment of your love. I am not sure about you, but I can't wait for springtime and then the warmth of lightning won't bother me at all M |

A solitary pine staggers 'neath stolid stalactites; backlit by lightning, it etches the forest, resonating crisp notes of nature's crescendo into a timeless reverie. |

Bruce~ 'the forest sings in staggering cold-bright silence' So vividly descriptive ... that one could hear it~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

I love the majesty of this line "Boundless 'cathedral' beyond all space and time with no rumblings of impotent 'gods," very nicely done |

This is your best poem yet. Vivid, strong, and painterly. |

A profound thank you to all the fine poets who commented on my 'Forest Song' write! I deeply appreciate it, and will likely respond to each of you individually as I can. Life's "slings and arrows" have gotten the better of me of late; but, if I can 'turn things around' (such that I am not so fundamentally demoralized by the general 'way of things'), I hope to return to "P.I.P." on a reasonably regular basis. |
