Look here at my battle scars.
I wear them tall and proud
to show what life without God will do,
a time I was lonely in a crowd,
and love of self was not allowed.

Many people see the scars
and know quite well my story,
I couldn't bear to look at wounds
of battles fought and lost, so gory,
until I came into the glory.

I can look at them now that they are healed
and smile to know my fate is sealed,
having made it through an earthly hell
I carry with me the strongest shield,
and battle scars...I wear them well.

Loved this poem. We all carry scars and are wounded in some fashion. It's awsome to hear that you can reflect back with a postitive attitude.
