To look at me, one would think girl, you've got it made! free and wild, uniquely-styled; of choices and changes, unafraid. Good job, nice house, many friends abound, beauty inside and out, men hanging around. The one who knows me best in life, he looked at me with accusation I've been drinking again, and why? Boredom and pain, a bad combination. Or maybe it was Christmas, or New Year's Eve, maybe there is something I don't know I grieve, or maybe just the way the morning starts, walking through life with missing parts. Maybe it's how the day ends, the way I feel when it's through, I looked at him and sadly said, "honestly, I think it's you." You're too good-looking for my own good, you've always been good when it came to affairs- I've always been good when it came to drinking; yes, bad habits tend to come in pairs. |
