The day begins Another fresh start Though cold outside No longer should our hearts Hands longing for purpose Only to find none Yet we survive While under the gun The sky is grey Blue peaks through the clouds The sun, she speaks Of dreams to unshroud The earth sleeps Longing to wake And reveal all its glory So we may partake Can you feel it? Do you sense it? The winds whisperings blew A life with new meaning Meant for me and for you There's so much to live for Happiness oh so divine Though struggle we must As we reach for the skies Hope saves us from dark days A candle burning bright A shelter of warm rays Transfigures the night Hope floats like a rainbow From the depths of our souls Just reach out and grab it For there's still miracles to behold Keep on and keep smiling Through pain, anger and the tears Life's journey is such that We traverse all our fears And as twilight descends Another day that we lived Know that in your heart You've given all you can give So, dear souls, I leave you With this part of my heart Hoping your day is filled With love from the start. 3/5/07 Freedom Now |

Moonkist, Without hope, there is no reason to do anything, it is when this has been lost that we survive aimlessly. Your poetry reminds us that this is the first stepping stone to the rest of the world... Ivor |

Thank you, Ivor, for your nice reply... I hope it touches someone the way your poem, "Flame...", touched me... Peace always, Helen Freedom Now |
