It's not the typical tourist approach to the theater. Up a back alley and dog leg to the right, past gang symbols and other city trash to the alleyway courtyard where once were rows of stables. I watch the stage door awhile where a handsome man in a black moustache burst out late one April night. Limping from an injured leg, he mounts a dark horse and, kicking the stable boy aside, whirls and thunders down the alley heading south.... The cries of a nation echoing behind. |

What's this excellent piece of poetry doing 'way down here.....? The skill of it, juxtaposing images pulled from the present state of things, across the face of a famous event....nicely done, my friend, a tourist indeed! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> ______________Ratleader______________ |
