it's not really my choice

to write in her voice

nor do i choose to lose

      or snooze

everytime i pick up her bottle of booze

i want more clues

on why we failed to fuse

   was it a ruse

when she sent me an e-mail that spelled good news

yet the next day

her USA Today

recinded her smile?
