Sky, blue; yet so soon in a bloody swoon swallowing the moon: daylight eclipse. Now their passions seethe, wand'ring o'er the heath baring yellow teeth: red at the tips. Barefoot up the rill, Cemetery Hill sends them climbing still, seeking release. Circle graves in dread, worshiping the dead: copters overhead bring the police. |

How timely, with the lunar eclipse which I did not get to see, more's the sorrow... but imagine what people from centuries past could only think when the moon turned red and the wind blew? Well done, Sir! |

It was cloudy here so I could not see the eclipse. Darnit! I wanted to see the color! "Barefoot up the rill," <---- Wow! I adored how you weaved "rill," long narrow valleys on the moon's surface, into this piece. (and yes I did look this unfamiliar word up...a good thing) Greatly enjoyed. always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same |

Hi Ed ![]() You sent me searching, ya did; even into my ancester's homeland. "Cyhydedd Hir Lines of five, five, five and four syllables (sometimes arranged as single nineteen syllable lines). First three lines rhyme with each other; the fourth line carries the main rhyme." I didn't count, but I'm sure you got it right. Enjoyed your poem and the search you took me on. ![]() |

This site: http://www.thepoetsgarret.com/home.html ...along with the poetry community it's part of, has some excellent poetry, and the clearest explanations I've found, of a dizzying array of poetic forms. I'm not a member, but their resources are open to anyone. I might try my hand at Luc Bat next, I dunno....if I'm going to be in a months' long writer's funk ("block" is such an inaccurate word!) anyway, I may as well learn something while I'm writing "exercise" poems to keep my pencil sharp! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> ______________Ratleader______________ |

-- And doesn't Terry Clitheroe look like a great guy? He's got "Poet" written all over him! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

I sincerely believe you can master any poetic form in existence... as well as inventing some that other poets will strive to achieve. *S* Your sharp pencil is more than a match for any "funk"... *G* This is fantastic!! *S* |
