Journey's End I sail for home tonight, my friend, And hope that daybreak sees the sun Yet shining on that land of grace, Where endless open highways run. And all days hence I'll gladly spend, Where absence was a bitter pill, As first I see that long lost place That banishes the winter's chill. I weave a scene that none can lend, Were light and shadow joust in fun; A web of mem'ries of that space, From thoughts and pictures, fondly spun. It's there I seek my journey's end, And loving arms that need me still. While tears will trace my age-creased face, As soon I crest that last, lone hill. I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires. -Khalil Gibran |

Hi, TL. I'm sorry! I hope that you feel better! My poem, thankfully for me, was more metaphorical for me, at this time of my life. I did my traveling when I was younger. However, I do remember quite vividly that feeling of loss and aloneness when I was far from home. I do so hope that you have a chance to go home and "crest that last, lone hill," soon. Love, John I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires. -Khalil Gibran |

Hi, Sunshine! "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine..." Now, see there! You've inspired, too! Also, thanks for the nice words. John I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires. -Khalil Gibran |
