The Following Day

I met her in Elizabethtown.
For fun we went to Churchill Downs.
She told me a certain horse would win,
a horse named "Where Love Begins".
I didn't believe the words she said,
the following day raindrops fell on my head.

James Michael,

Your lively rhyme and spirit were a joy to read.
A beautiful part of the country. A boy from the midwest, how nice.
