                                               drat ...........

                  quickly she spins around but it was too late

                  Howard had already pulled more compliments out of his hat

                  than any Major League baseball player had the bat speed

                                               to swing at

                  better than Mrs. Smith from The Matrix she tried to dodge Howard's lyrical kisses

                             but one struck ecstatically left of center

                                  she could feel herself falling

                  but before she could conjure up another excuse for stalling

                  Howard was by her side catching her, calling to her in the most tender voice she had ever heard

                  you're boyfriend is so lucky you're the missus

                               he gets to keep warm this winter

                                              Eve thought

                  how could this be ............. ?

                                after a night filled with splinters

                  compassionately being removed from each others souls

                  Eve sat down at the breakfast table pondering in front of her cereal bowl

                             why didn't her mentor warn her of this?

                  she wasn't prepared for this much bliss

                  Morpheus kept telling her she wasn't ready

                  but she wouldn't listen, she and her man had been going steady

                                                for years

                  she thought Morpheus was being absurd and his fears unfounded

                                       but last nite her gears

                  were shifted to a reality ungrounded

                  by her previous training

                  and after many days of valiant struggling

                  it appears as though Howard's efforts of juggling words together had him gaining

                                          his new soulmate
