February’s March of Snow Rain danced by thunderous flood, and the 3 a.m. awakening did just that flood storm dreams of wake and sleep, of up, down, prance, dance in trance until the six a.m. alarm, then, quiet, too late, awake, up, too far into the day to think otherwise, and so, do, deal, think, sort, clean, organize, and then nine struck and sleep filled these eyes oh green how the grass might be but wait…forecasts of Phil might be played and displayed with humor, for the blizzard awaits, like a hungry lizard having gone through winter’s clime and whine, now greedy and feeling the last days’ degrees of warm could be caught, unaware, as snow falls, an April’s fool, a month plus days early, still, during rains and clouds gathering, I walked the land, not country, not city, just temporarily ours, finding surprises of all forms… this hand moving back decaying but giving leaves, the beginning of tomorrow’s spring, with the slightest inches of tulip and daylily, and the remnant of a deer’s hoof print in the dirt yet to be planted… No wonder Abby’s nose lifted to air. I write this prelude to Spring, with large snowflakes pelting my windows and its sill. ~*~ © February 24, 2007 Karilea Rilling Jungel |

Just loverly K. I heard on the news today, that Kansas really got hit with snow again? This weather is really scary when you take a good look at what is going on in the world. Nice to see it written up so beautifully. |

I have found this weather so strange. I think the plants may be confused. There are some out in front of my house that has sprouted, and have little buds on them. I'm not sure what they are, because I didn't put them there. So, I guess I will have to wait until they open up to see what they are. |

It was quite the weekend, believe me. Luckily our own area didn't have much but rain, and wind, so we picked up long limbs in the soggy muck, but, still...I have a feeling that Phil is still playing with us, and another storm might well pelt the midwest. We've seen snow in May. Be well, and safe, all of you! |

Dear Sissie California trades her 80's clear for raindrops falling and snow so near the music played the roof all night and I curled and warm opened the window to feel the storm. |

this was so 'easy listening' that I could almost hear claude debussy's "prelude to the afternoon of a fawn" playing in the background. Lovely, just lovely. |

Karilea, this painted such a picture, one that was very much enjoyed, your seasons are so much different than ours my friend, but I did feel as with you for these moments and felt your time of year. Sincerely Rick Ps, nice picture as well my friend. |

still, during rains and clouds gathering, I walked the land, not country, not city, just temporarily ours, finding surprises of all forms… this hand moving back decaying but giving leaves, the beginning of tomorrow’s spring, with the slightest inches of tulip and daylily, Outstanding...I loved this poem of yours, it is profoundly aware... |
