The Horizontal Christmas Tree Oh, Christmas tree, that we adore, Why are you lying on the floor? We sat and looked at you last night, Making sure you were decked right. The ornaments we cherish so. The lights that set you all a-glow! Your heady fragrance filled the air. You were a sight beyond compare, But after we had gone to bed, You decided to "play dead!" With that title, I knew it was gonna be interesting! I can relate somewhat as one year we bought an artificial tree where the branches went into little plastic tubes. All of the branches were pointing down in the morning and the ornaments were sliding off. Thanks for the delightful read(as if you could produce anything less)! love, Barb |

An all-too-familiar image. When I put up a tree (it is more of a challenge now), I had at least two horizontal Christmas trees--each the result of a cat (the same one) who wanted to be the star on the top of the tree. |
