So much promise was extinguished. So many dreams died... and the pain is still vivid for those that are alive. There is not enough time or distance to dull one's memory of that day, tho, they be...yes, they be! more than a thousand miles away. Oh, MY God! where is the rabbit hole? Could it really take one there... to ease the pain and suffering for all of those who lost and care? Humm, how to change the future... what is the reality... but, to find a quiet moment alone in the stealthness of the tragedy. |

"in the stealthness of the tragedy"... that eerie quietness that belies the earth pounding rending of tragic roar. Amid the overpowering noise of tragedy...the supernatural "stealthness" of ones senses being overwhelmed. i do not remember where i was that infamous day, but i shall never forget the feelings. well composed rv... touched (nay;stabbed) me. |

Margherita and Daniel...Richie Salinardi died in the 9-11 attack...I worked with his father and feel compassion for the family. The poem was a small expression of that compassion. Thank you for taking the time to respond to the poem and my remembrance of that day and Richie. |
