Yes They Are

Damn whispers came again
seeping, insidious, clutching
like quiet, phantom breeze.
Hear, here then gone
slipping away, hiding
not quite, really there?

Enough to drive one mad
whether aslumber or awaken
whispers, quick jerk of head.
Can nary a catch them
they play this hated game
not quite, really there?

Laughing out loud, absurd
proverbial voices in ones head
would be an improvement.
Now they are laughing, mocking
like the edge of fog, slipperly
not quite, really there?

And the treatment for whispers?
straight jacket, padded cell
putting one at their mercy.
Merciless they do snicker
tormenting, banging head on wall
not quite, yes they are...

Yep! one's perception is one's reality, Daniel...and i'm one that believes every..."thing"... has a life...including poems,whispers and memories.
