Dawn Over Easy

Dawn over easy
glorious, sparkling
dew to jewels.
Midsummer cool
just after sunrise
songbirds singing.

Chicken lips smiling
breakfast served
pulled from earth.
Windshield mirrored
sheet of sunlight
draped, dappled.

Home porch time
cuppa and smoke
been over forty.
Yesterdays youth
mistake laden
why the leaving?

Yapping powderpuf
steaming deposit
good morning supper.
Cheery g'day
genuine neighborly
forgotten the nature.

People like salt
earths flavoring
tis good to be home.
Long, strange trip
indeed has been so
dawn over easy...

ty tyvm guys...
yeah rv  have been kinda on a quest to make people fill in the blanks with left out words in popular word combinations...no idea where the practice originated. but my chief proof reader gets a kick out of "thinking" the phrase complete instead of just reading it...or maybe i am attempting to channel Hemingway as a poet?  i miss Margie as we were working on collecting hiaku's into groupings and structuring them into a relavant single piece. lol kinda like a baseball team, eh?
