Blessings of the Day The mornings bless this valley With a flood of golden light, That lasts until the evening Has been swallowed by the night And then the dark is lessened By the blaze of stars o’er all. By moonlight in it’s season And bright colors in the fall, That dress each tree in glory And you feel so glad to be A part of this creation That’s so beautiful to see. The purple shadows deepen While the last light fades away. I always thank our Maker For the blessings of the day. Betty Lou Hebert |
