Leaves The pitter-pat of windswept feet go skipping down the cobbled street whereon I glance but only meet a swirl of colors on the fleet of foot that moves and gently skims against the earth though they've no limbs except for those upon the trees that tightly hold some from the breeze. Oh, the leaves, how they touch our hearts and delight our eyes! I think this is a very beautiful autumn poem, dear Bob, with just that little touch of melancholy that autumn always transmits. Love, Margherita |
