Leaves

The pitter-pat of windswept feet
go skipping down the cobbled street
whereon I glance but only meet
a swirl of colors on the fleet
of foot that moves and gently skims
against the earth though they've no limbs
except for those upon the trees
that tightly hold some from the breeze.

God bless,
Lighthouse Bob

Oh, the leaves, how they touch our hearts and delight our eyes! I think this is a very beautiful autumn poem, dear Bob, with just that little touch of melancholy that autumn always transmits.

Love,
Margherita
