Not but twice
And more recently so
Into battle they did go
Fought with courage and might
Ultimate sacrifice

The fields of poppies row on row
Where fallen soldiers in silence know

Peace is ongoing
With wins and loss
Sacred are the ones
With whom God did carry away
To shine upon his Golden Cross

Fear and bloodshed
Life changed so profound
Onward Christian soldiers
Fight with passion and power
Resonate the importance
Of that definitive hour

Take the time to yield
Give thanks and remembrance
With thy valour and shield...
