Bow my head and hit the hay, live to die another day. Come misfortune, come dismay, the bonds now broken, not held at bay. All consciousness fades, my mind betrays. The silent rush comes as I lay, and slowly it all slips away... |

Firstly, welcome to Passions, and I can see you will be a wonderful addition. This poem reads almost like a bedtime prayer, and one has to be careful what they wish for it may just come true. ![]() Words are weapons, toss them with care. ~ Mysteria ~ |

Hi Novus_Os... Nice poem! I notice often that the first "rush" of wakefulness-to-dream-sleep is a rehearsal, usually with a startling dream noise of some sort. That wakes one for the real sleep sequence to start. Very animal atavistic... |
